New FUB course – Introduction to Philosophy

I’ve started a new course at the Free University Brighton, a short 4 week introductory course. The first session this week gave a brief account of what philosophy is and an even briefer introduction to the cogito argument in Descartes. The FUB students then went on to a Zoom seminar for an hour and we had an interesting discussion about thought, thinking and the differences between the way we might usually understand thinking and the way that philosophy approaches it.
